Curricula, simple recruiting for small teams

Curricula, simple recruiting for small teams

Curricula brings job openings, applications and evaluations together in one place. AI reads the CVs for you, but the decision stays with your team.

Hiring without getting lost in email, spreadsheets and complicated ATS platforms

In small teams, hiring is scattered: CVs land in the inbox, notes end up in chat, evaluations stay in someone's head. Enterprise ATS platforms solve the problem, but they are heavy, expensive and full of features you will never use.

We lived this first-hand. Curricula was born at Brainy Labs to run our own hiring: recruiting software that does only what's needed, with artificial intelligence handling the repetitive work and the team making the decisions.

To build it we started from Pandora, our modular foundation for business applications: login, users, roles and permissions were already built and battle-tested, so development focused on what makes Curricula useful: job openings, applications, CV analysis and team evaluations.

How it works, in 4 steps

  1. You create the job opening. A guided wizard takes you from the description to the details, from the application form to the screening questions and the recruiters to involve. If you're starting from scratch, AI helps you write the description.
  2. AI suggests the requirements. From the description it extracts must-have, nice-to-have and desired skills. You review them, edit them and decide how much each one counts.
  3. Candidates apply. From a public careers page, with a form, privacy consent and a PDF CV.
  4. You evaluate as a team. Each candidate gets an explained score and moves from one stage to the next automatically, based on your decisions.

Key features

  • Public careers page. Openings that can be browsed and filtered, with applications in a few clicks.
  • Forms and screening questions. For each opening, choose which fields to ask for and which are required, and add questions you can reuse as templates.
  • Automatic CV analysis. Skills, experience, languages and seniority extracted from every CV.
  • Transparent scoring. For each requirement you see whether there's a match, where the AI found it and why. No black box.
  • Points to explore. The AI flags missing or partial skills to clarify during the interview.
  • The original CV always at hand, to compare with the extracted data.
  • Team evaluation. Each recruiter casts their own vote ("for me") or decides for everyone ("for the team"). If everyone agrees, the candidate moves forward on their own.
  • A clear pipeline. Received → To contact → Interview → Interview completed → Accepted or Rejected.
  • Guided interviews. The opening's questions become a shared script, with shared answers and notes.
  • Favourite candidates. Save the best profiles and find them again in a moment.
  • Job opening management. Publish, deactivate, duplicate and archive. For each opening you see the total number of applications and those still to review.
  • Dashboard. New candidates, profiles to review, upcoming interviews, conversion rate and most popular openings.

Coming soon: automatic emails to candidates, confirming receipt of their application and communicating the outcome. We're working on it.

AI helps you, it doesn't decide for you

The score is there to inform you, not to deliver a verdict. Requirements suggested by the AI must be approved by a recruiter, and every evaluation shows the evidence it is based on: the sentence in the CV, the screening answer, the reason a skill is strong, partial or missing. You save time on screening without losing control of your choices.

Frequently asked questions

What is Curricula?+

Curricula is recruiting software (an ATS) built for small teams. It brings job openings, applications, AI-powered CV analysis and shared evaluations together in one platform. It is developed by Brainy Labs in Bologna, Italy, and was born to run our own hiring.

Who is it for?+

SMEs and startups that hire a few people a year but want to do it well, tech teams and agencies that involve several people in each evaluation, and anyone who finds enterprise ATS platforms too complex or too expensive for their needs.

How much does Curricula cost?+

Curricula costs €29 per user per month, excluding VAT. Users are the people on your team who access the platform, such as recruiters and hiring managers. Candidates are not users: they apply from the public careers page and do not affect the price.

Do I need to install anything?+

No. Curricula is a cloud service managed by Brainy Labs: you use it from your browser, and we take care of updates and maintenance.

Does the AI decide who gets hired?+

No. The AI reads CVs, suggests the requirements for a job opening and calculates a match score, but it makes no decisions. Suggested requirements must be approved by a recruiter, every score shows the evidence behind it, and moving a candidate to the next stage always depends on your team's evaluations.

How is a candidate's score calculated?+

For each job opening you define must-have, nice-to-have and desired requirements, each with a weight and an expected level. Curricula compares the CV and the screening answers with each requirement and states whether the match is strong, partial or missing, quoting the part of the CV that supports it. The final score summarises these evaluations together with the estimated seniority.

Can several people evaluate the same candidate?+

Yes. Each recruiter assigned to the opening can cast their own vote or decide for the whole team. When everyone agrees, the candidate moves to the next stage automatically: from Received to To contact, Interview, Interview completed, and finally Accepted or Rejected.

How do people apply?+

From a public careers page where openings can be browsed and filtered. Candidates fill in the form, answer the screening questions, give consent to data processing and upload their CV as a PDF. For each opening you choose which fields to show and which are required.

Do candidates receive automatic emails?+

We're working on it: automatic emails confirming receipt of an application and communicating the outcome are in development. Today you can already email a candidate directly from their profile.

How is candidate data handled?+

The application form collects consent to the processing of personal data. CVs, evaluations and notes live in a single platform instead of being scattered across inboxes and spreadsheets, and only the users you enable on your team can access them.

Can I try Curricula before choosing?+

Yes. Contact us for a demo: we'll show you Curricula on a real job opening and work out together whether it fits the way your team hires.

Want to see Curricula at work on your own job openings? We'll show you how it works with your team.
